Back to main on-line manual page
In the beginning I have spend hours, days and weeks and years scanning the individual pictures and then text and reassembling them into an easy to read and print text. I'm still spending time on new manuals, some older ones I'm redoing some of the images again. Some other people's sites just scan the entire page or provide a poor scan then place in into an Adobe Acrobat format that is still hard to read. This was before Adobe Acrobat... I now can scan an individual page and assemble all the pages into a single PDF file. There are still many site just making a single image of each page and posting each image. Kind of hard to read a manual that way.
You donation pays for purchasing the manuals and the shipping costs to my home. The web site itself, an add free site that does not have those pop-up ads or banners, as well as my time to create, maintain and upgrade this website. The hours checking E-bay for new manual and hearing from my wife "honey it's time to leave" or "are you coming to bed or not?"
Only those few, like you, provide me with compensation. I
get letters from all over the county with actual notes like "I picked up a
camera from E-bay, could not figure out how to use it. Someone told me to
search the internet. I figured - no way, why would someone do that -
but there was your site. Many thanks."
OR "my child needed an inexpensive camera for a HS camera
class but it came with no instructions, thanks, she's learning a lot with your
help". The best one was "found this in my grandparents home after
needing to clean it out and now I know how to use it so I have something to
remember him by"
Thanks again.
